Read about Homer and my task in The Wall Street Journal and Crain's New York Business

Our situation necessitated hiring a high volume of people for one position. With each interview cycle, our goal was to streamline and continuously improve the interview process.

Worksheets and checklists were developed for different stages of the interview process. This sheet allowed for quick and organized evaluation of candidates against our criteria during the group interview stage.

Documentation such as this video interview evaluation worksheet enabled different members of the operations team to become involved in parts of the interview process.

An internal survey helped gauge different company stakeholders' views on the most crucial traits for our couriers.

Flyers like this one were distributed at recruiting events, where I told candidates about the position and did interviews on the spot (flyer designed by Daniel Stankus). I was able to utilize my story of starting at Homer as a bicycle courier as an example of opportunities for advancement within the company.
